PrintWIMP is an app that connects print shops with their customers: you can request quotes, approve artwork proofs, track orders, message your shop, and pay invoices. This policy explains what information the app handles and why. The short version: we collect only what's needed to run your orders, we don't sell data, and we don't show ads.
Information we collect
- Account details — your name, email address, and password (stored only as a secure hash), plus optional phone number, used to sign you in and connect you to your print shop.
- Order information — quotes, orders, invoices, artwork proofs, and delivery details for work you place with a print shop through the app.
- Files you upload — artwork, logos, and photos you attach to orders, stored so your shop can produce your work.
- Messages — chat conversations between you and your print shop, stored so both sides keep a record.
- Push notification tokens — if you enable notifications, a device token so we can alert you about proofs, order status, and messages.
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, browsing history, or advertising identifiers.
How your information is used
- To operate your account and show your orders, proofs, invoices, and messages.
- To notify you (in app or by email) about proofs awaiting approval, order progress, and replies from your shop.
- To let your print shop produce and deliver the work you ordered.
We do not sell or rent personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to train AI models.
Who your information is shared with
- Your print shop — the shop you connect with sees your name, contact details, orders, files, and messages, exactly as needed to serve you.
- Service providers — we run on trusted infrastructure: Supabase (database, authentication, file storage), Vercel (hosting), Resend (transactional email), Microsoft 365 (our support email inbox), Telnyx (text-message delivery), and Stripe (payment processing — card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers).
No other third parties receive your personal information, except where the law requires it.
Our website and demo requests
You can browse printwimp.com without an account. If you request a demo, we collect what you type into the form:
- your business name, your name, and your email address
- your phone number (optional)
- the kind of shop you run and whether you'd like the demo by Zoom or phone
- anything you write in the “Anything we should know?” box
We use this only to schedule and run your demo and to follow up with you about PrintWIMP. Your request is saved in our database and sent by email to our support inbox (support@printwimp.com) so a real person can reply to you. We don't add you to a mailing list, and we don't sell or share your request with anyone else.
We keep demo requests for 2 months after our last conversation with you, then delete them. You can ask us to delete yours at any time by emailing support@printwimp.com.
Our website does not use advertising or analytics trackers and does not set cookies. Like any website, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and troubleshooting.
Text message (SMS) notifications
If you opt in, your print shop sends you order-status text messages (for example, "your order is ready for pickup") at the mobile number you provide. Consent is collected with an unchecked checkbox at signup or recorded by your shop with your agreement — it is never assumed. Message frequency varies with your order activity, and message & data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help.
If you also tick the separate specials box, your print shop may send you promotional texts (for example, sales or seasonal offers) from PrintWIMP's specials number, up to 4 per month. This is optional and separate: agreeing to order updates never signs you up for specials. Reply STOP to the specials number at any time to stop them.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except for the SMS delivery provider used to send the messages themselves.
Security and retention
All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest by our infrastructure providers. Order records are retained while your account and your shop's records remain active, since they form the business record of work produced. Files deleted in the app are recoverable for 30 days and then permanently removed.
Your choices
- You can edit your account details in the app.
- You can disable push notifications at any time in your device settings.
- If you requested a demo, you can ask us to correct or delete your request by emailing support@printwimp.com.
- You can request a copy or the deletion of your personal data by emailing us; account deletion removes your login and personal details, while records that a shop is legally required to keep (such as invoices) may be retained by that shop.
Children
PrintWIMP is a business tool intended for users 18 and over. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
